Update: These feeds don’t work any longer since Sydsvenskan renewed their site and didn’t bother keeping the old URLs working.
I like to follow what happens in the world and in my city but the signal-to-noise ratio in my favorite newspaper Sydsvenskan’s RSS feeds is way too high. Instead of suffering and losing precious time wading through entries about nothing I decided to seize the power of Yahoo Pipes. I’ve created three news feeds: one for Lund (my city), one for economics and one for “the world” – all three only including frontpage news:

Unfortunately, Yahoo Pipes seems to have a problem with the ISO-8859-1 encoding Sydsvenskan’s feeds uses. A bug report was sent to the Pipes team over a year ago. Luckily, I found a workaround for now.
